JAMRoKi has played sets all over the UK. From his festival debut at the age of 12 in the Bollywood Tent at Camp Bestival, where he has DJ’ed yearly since (in Dorset and Shropshire) to on that first weekend being invited to also close The Greatest Tent on Earth. Jamie has gone on to play opening sets at the Big Top at age 14, and 11pm sets in the Big Top at age 15. Jamie, still 15, was also invited to join Sound System Futures and DJ at 5.30pm on Sunday at the heart of Notting Hill Carnival in Powis Square, where he joined the Trojan 7 Lin Kam Art Sound System, and filled the street.

At a time when dance floors are full of smartphones, Jamroki gets dance floors, streets, beaches, fields, huge big top tents, and the occasional club, dancing.

Friends and on first name terms with many of the big names in music, Jamroki started his interest in all things music on the Isle of Wight, attending Bestival, Isle of Wight Festival, Rhythmtree Festival, and Wonderfest, hanging out with The Plastic Mermaids and helping on a music video (look out for the clay “tree penguin” in Taxonomy), dancing on stage with Bez of the Happy Mondays, meeting Jaguar Skills, and DJ’ing back to back with Our Girl G. It was on the Isle of Wight where Jamroki first met Rascal Raves’ Katie and Bestival’s Rob Da Bank.

With his eclectic authentic style and deep knowledge of music and genres, he always brings good energy to events. Jamroki always reads the crowd and takes his audience on a journey. He also plays a mix of genres to suit whatever event he has been booked for.

JAMRoKi’s music collection ranges from late 80’s and early nineties dance classics, to the latest pre-release banger. One of JAMRoKi’s (Jamie’s) super powers is his ability to get on with people. In Jamie’s spare time he mentors other young artists, supports young producers, and takes an active interest in music and the music industry, mentoring young DJs and helping to host Rascal Raves events and competitions, attending Linett Kamala’s Pioneer DJ 50 years of Hip Hop celebration in 2023, Beyond The Bassline, Terry Hooligan’s WeDJ Show in 2024, supporting music showcases, and a regular listener to a wide range of specialist radio stations, podcasts, and others.
